FROM WOOL TO YARN - processing raw sheep wool into finished yarn

I have been spending some time trawling through Youtube videos on the subject of wool to yarn processing and one in particular caught my attention so I thought I would share it with you. It's Norwegian with captions and gives some very good ideas for washing the wool etc and forming skeins amongst other things. I was very interested to see the Bliss Spinning Wheel being used (made in Holland) which my husband bought me as a Christmas gift a few years ago and which I use all the time.

I'm also reproducing the chart Glenda handed out at our December party. It tables sheep breeds and their uses, fibre thickness, stable length, properties and uses. A very handy document. (do excuse shape, I pinned it on the wall to photograph !

Enjoy the video
